Spring Break - 1945 by G.D. Moore
A number of post graduates/seniors were informed their spring break was canceled.
Remaining at school "would allow for additional preparation time for the impending
substantiating academy exams." Not completely in agreement with this dedication
and to demonstrate their frustration, several cadets decided to use peroxide to
bleach their hair. The resulting colors (blond to red to green) were immediately
apparent to Col. C.A. at the Saturday morning geometry class. Recognizing the
possibility of an "impending revolt" he announced that those who had experienced
a change in hair color would not only have no spring break - they also would be
"campused" for the entire period. This edict applied to all involved except
Johnny Hall. For some reason his "orange to green" head had escaped notice.
